A gallery devoted to Lehmann’s obsession with animals is long over due. Her dogs were a part of her entourage in Vienna and even accompanied her on tours. The Australian tours allowed her to broaden her connection to animals to include a kangaroo, a kookaburra and, of course, koalas. Once established in Santa Barbara Lehmann could indulge her love of pets to include large dogs and birds.
