At the death of Lotte Lehmann in August 1976 many of her test acetates and other discs were sent to the sound archives of the University of Kansas. From that source you can now hear second takes from the MGM movie Big City in which Lehmann sang 1. The Kerry Dancers, and 2. The Brahms Lullaby (in English).

Below you’ll hear take 1, take 2 and then the published version which was different from the movie’s sound track, meant to be sold as records. At the bottom of the screen you’ll find MGM’s reference numbers, etc.
