Mme. Lotte Lehmann, famed concert singer, who will sing Schubert’s song cycle “Die Winterreise” a cycle of 24 songs, at Orchestra hall. Here on March 8, 1947 she shows some of her 24 paintings that illustrate the songs, at the Ambassador East Hotel.
Charlotte (Lotte) Lehmann (February 27, 1888 ? August 26, 1976) was a German soprano who was especially associated with German repertory. She gave memorable performances in the operas of Richard Strauss. The Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier was considered her greatest role.
